Irish Glass workers to march to IBEC headquarters

Workers at the Irish Glass Bottle plant in Dublin are to march to IBEC headquarters this morning to protest over the attitude of the company’s management.

The 400 staff are growing increasingly angry over their employer’s failure to honour recommendations on severance pay agreed at the Labour Court.

The workers began strike action at the factory in Ringsend yesterday.

The plant is due to close later this month.
