McGuinness blames Trimble for current crisis

Sinn Fein’s Martin McGuinness has blamed UUP leader David Trimble for the current crisis facing the Irish peace process, despite Mr Trimble’s assertion that the IRA is at fault.

Sinn Fein’s Martin McGuinness has blamed UUP leader David Trimble for the current crisis facing the Irish peace process, despite Mr Trimble’s assertion that the IRA is at fault.

Speaking in Armagh today, the UUP leader said: "There is no crisis in the North-South Ministerial Council, there isn’t a crisis in the British-Irish Council, there is no crisis in the Northern Ireland Executive. The problem is entirely a matter of the action of paramilitaries."
