Central Bank reveals 'modest' recovery

The Central Bank has said that Ireland’s economy recovered modestly in the first half of this year after a disastrous third quarter last year.

Economic growth is expected to average 3% for 2002, but the bank predicted that the rate could reach 5% by the end of the year.
