Tanaiste pledges action on euro rises

The Tanaiste, Mary Harney, has pledged to take action following the official publication of a report showing that Ireland has the second-highest cost of living in the EU.

Ms Harney said the Forfas report, which was leaked to the media earlier this week, is disturbing and vowed to tackle the problems highlighted as soon as possible.
