Dungannon man shot in paramilitary-style attack

A 22-year-old man was shot in the ankle by a gang of masked gunmen last night in what police described as a ‘‘paramilitary assault’’.

The man, who has not been named, was attacked by at least four men in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, just before midnight, said a Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman.
