CORI to co-operate with audit
The organisation representing 150 religious orders is to co-operate with the Catholic Church’s independent audit into clerical child sex abuse.
A unanimous decision has been reached at the end of the Conference of Religious of Ireland's AGM meeting in Rosslare.
Catholic Bishops had no authority to instruct the orders to co-operate.
Cori secretary general Sr Elizabeth Maxwell denies the organisation dragged its feet over the scandal.
