U2 pledge to stay recording in Dublin

Irish superband U2 tonight vowed to maintain a base in the Dublin docklands after the planning authority ruled that their recording studio should be demolished as part of a development.

The band contested the demolition plan at an appeal hearing earlier this year on the grounds that the building constituted musical heritage.
