Government worried over lack of nuclear security in Britain
The Department of Energy is expressing concern over claims that security checks at British Nuclear facilities have been halted.
The checks have been stopped due to a lack of staff. It is believed that security checks have been cancelled at 22 out of 31 nuclear power and waste stations across Britain.
A spokesperson for the Energy Department says that the matter will be investigated in the coming days. The spokesperson insisted that reports of this nature were obviously a matter of concern and the lack of security would be examined.
