Man charged with sexual assault at District Court

A man has appeared at a sitting of the District Court in Mullingar charged with sexually assaulting and falsely imprisoning a 10-year-old girl in Kilbeggan on Tuesday night.

The 34-year-old single man from Tullamore, who cannot be named after an order by the judge, has been remanded in custody to appear at Tullamore District Court on June 19.
