15-year-old beaten in punishment attack

A 15-year-old schoolboy is recovering this morning after he was beaten with baseball bats in a paramilitary-style punishment attack in Co Down last night.

The boy suffered a fractured leg and severe bruising after three men entered his home in Johnston Park, Carrowdore, and attacked him.

A 20-year-old man was also shot in both ankles overnight in another punishment attack in Glenmolina Crescent, Belfast.
