Ahern admits lobbying affected cabinet

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has admitted that the line-up of his new cabinet is not the same as the one he had originally wanted to employ.

Mr Ahern revealed that he had been targeted by an enormous amount of lobbying that went on right up until a few hours before he finalised his decision.
