Search resumes for teenager in Shannon

The search continues today for a teenager who is presumed to have fallen into the Shannon in the last few days.

It is feared that 16-year-old Lyndsey Kiely from Moyross in Limerick drowned after she fell into the river close to the Ardnacrusha hydro power generating plant.

The body of Lyndsey' friend was recovered from the water yesterday.

It is thought that the two teenagers were swept away by the tailrace from the generator turbines that were on at the time.
