The search for two teenagers feared drowned on the Limerick-Clare border will resume at 8am today.

The search for two teenagers feared drowned on the Limerick-Clare border will resume at 8am today.

The 16-year-old girl and boy were swept into the tail race at the Ardnacrusha power station on the River Shannon near Moyross yesterday evening.

The girl is believed to have fallen into the water before the boy jumped in to rescue her. The pair had just began their Junior Cert exams on Wednesday.
