Government holds first cabinet meeting

The new Fianna Fail-Progressive Democrats Government held its first cabinet meeting at Aras an Uachtarain last night after ministers received their seals of office.

The meeting followed Fianna Fail leader Bertie Ahern’s re-election as Taoiseach and PD leader Mary Harney’s re-election as Tanaiste.
