Marathon won just after 30 minutes

Ireland’s biggest road race is finishing up after runners have started to return to Dublin city centre.

The winning runner in the 10km race was Pauline Curley.

Pauline won the Women’s Mini-Marathon after a time of 34 minutes, 20 seconds.

Geraldine Hendricken came in second place just a minute behind.

The Carlow athlete only just missed beating her Offaly superior.

Dublin’s Annette Kealy was third in a time of 35 minutes and 54 seconds.

It is expected that traffic restrictions along the south side of the capital will be lifted as racers return in the evening.
