Bomb attack on house in North

Violence continued in the North until the early hours of this morning following a blast bomb attack on a house in Newtonards.

Violence continued in the North until the early hours of this morning following a blast bomb attack on a house in Newtonards.

Three teenage girls were treated for shock following the incident and minor damage was caused to the house and surrounding cars.

A PSNI spokeswoman also said that 10 officers were injured in rioting in East Belfast.

Most of the injuries are hearing related, although one officer was hit with a brick.

Their injuries are thought not to be serious.
