Suspicious object destroyed in controlled blast

Bomb disposal experts have carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious object found in Omagh, Co Tyrone, this afternoon.

The package was found on Kelvin Avenue at around 2pm, shortly after police received a telephone warning.
