Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has criticised Aer Lingus pilots for taking strike action after seven of their colleagues were suspended for refusing to co-operate with new work arrangements.

Speaking in Dublin today, Mr Ahern said he would not take sides in the dispute, but added that he believes tomorrow’s one-day stoppage is not warranted.
