Gardaí arrest man in stabbing probe
Gardaí in Galway have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing in the city this morning.
The body of a local man in his late twenties was found at a house in Rahoon shortly after 9am.
A man in his fifties is being questioned at Mill Street Garda station after being picked up at lunchtime.
The area has been sealed off and the state pathologist is due to carry out a post mortem on the body this afternoon.
Superintendent Mick Curley from Salthill Garda station says that they have launched a major investigation.
