The government-appointed Equality Authority today urged that same-sex couples should get equal rights on fostering and adopting children.

In a report entitled Implementing Equality for Lesbians, Gays and Bisexuals, the organisation also recommended that same-sex couples should receive the same rights as heterosexuals on inheritance and taxation laws.
