Mobile phone recycling scheme launched

Vodafone and the Conservation Volunteers Ireland group have launched a new scheme aimed at recycling old mobile phones.

Vodafone and the Conservation Volunteers Ireland group have launched a new scheme aimed at recycling old mobile phones.

Under the scheme, the public will be asked to hand in their old handsets at special locations so they can be repackaged and sent to businesses in the Third World.

The proceeds will be used to fund environmental projects in Ireland.
