Fox fighting for final seat

The final Dáil seat to be filled following Friday’s election remains at the centre of a recount this morning.

Independent candidate Mildred Fox is struggling to hold on to her seat in Wicklow, with just a 47-vote advantage over the Labour Party’s Nicky Kelly.

Meanwhile in the early hours today Fianna Fail conceded defeat halfway through a recount in Longford-Roscommon, giving Mae Sexton the fourth seat for the Progressive Democrats.
