Fianna Fail majority not likely

Fianna Fail is on track to win a total of 81 or 82 seats, just short of an overall majority.

Bertie Ahern is expected to return as Taoiseach over a Fianna Fail-PD coalition.

161 out of 166 seats have now been filled.

Fianna Fail is currently on 80, Fine Gael is on 31, Labour on 19, the PDs are on 6, the Green Party have 6, Sinn Fein on 5 and 14 others.

Recounts are also continuing in Longford/ Roscommon, Limerick West and Cork South Central.

A recount in Cavan-Monaghan has been postponed until Tuesday.
