Dana out as Fahey is elected

Rosemary 'Dana' Scallon has been eliminated in the Galway West constituency to end a disappointing election campaign.

The Independent candidate received just 1,677 first-round votes (3% of the vote).

Fianna Fail's Eamon O'Cuiv and Frank Fahey have already taken two of the five seats in the constituency.
