In the run up to what seems like a Fianna Fail majority, the Labour Party leader Ruairi Quinn has managed to hold onto his seat in Dublin South East.

He joins the Green Party’s John Gormley and the PDs Michael McDowell and Fianna Fail’s Eoin Ryan.

The Labour party leader maintains he is disappointed about his party colleagues who have lost out in the election.

Some of these high profile candidates included former party leader Dick Spring, Derek McDowell and Michael Bell.
