Early indications look positive for FF in Carlow/Kilkenny

Early signs in Carlow/Kilkenny show a good performance from Fianna Fail’s sitting TDs, with Labour support down.

With Ceann Comhairle Seamus Patterson of Labour automatically returned, there are only four seats to be filled.

The three outgoing TDs, Liam Aylward and John Mc Guinness of Fianna Fail, and Fine Gael’s Phil Hogan are expected to be returned.

There is intense interest in the fate of the fourth seat.
