Church of Ireland holds synod

The Church of Ireland Synod begins its annual three-day meeting today in Dublin.

Among the issues being discussed are sectarianism, education projects, Ireland’s relation with Europe and missionary activity abroad.

Of serious concern to the synod will be the ever-decreasing congregations, and today’s session will discuss ways of addressing that problem.
