Taoiseach denies favouritism allegations

Fianna Fáil leader Bertie Ahern has denied allegations of favouritism after the Government appointed his friend, Joe Burke, as chairman of the Dublin Port Authority.

Fianna Fáil leader Bertie Ahern has denied allegations of favouritism after the Government appointed his friend, Joe Burke, as chairman of the Dublin Port Authority.

Mr Burke was appointed to the job the day after the Dáil was dissolved. He had previously served as director of the authority.
