FF Senator hospitalised after accident

Mayo Fianna Fail Senator Frank Chambers is in hospital following a car accident.

The election candidate was travelling in the Westport area at 10am this morning when the car he was a passenger in hit a wall.

He was taken to hospital and his condition is described as comfortable.

The driver of the car was also injured.
