FG target education policies
Fine Gael will focus on the issue of education today as its election campaign moves to Co Wicklow and Co Carlow.
Party leader Michael Noonan is expected to ques
tion why the government has failed to publish the
list of 850 schools which have been approved for refurbishment grants.
On the campaign trail, Mr Noonan is expected to highlight what he believes is the appalling neglect of certain schools and to promise significant investment in school development if Fine Gael is elected to power.
He said Fine Gael would modernise the out-dated, dilapidated school buildings which the outgoing Government has put on the long finger.
