A man has died and nine other people are injured following a two-car collision in Co Donegal early today.

A man has died and nine other people are injured following a two-car collision in Co Donegal early today.

The accident happened at Drumkeen, on the Ballybofey to Letterkenny road, at around 3.30am.

Gardai said the two cars involved in the crash were travelling in the same direction.

The nine injured people, aged between 19 and 24, were taken to hospital in Letterkenny, where they are all in stable conditions.

One, a 19-year-old girl, is in intensive care, while the others suffered fractures and lacerations.

The dead man is believed to be from the Ballybofey area, but his name has not been released.
