Flood denies Harney written request

The Flood Tribunal has denied it sent a written request to Tanaiste Mary Harney to disclose her financial records.

The tribunal issued a statement today to Ms Harney's solicitors.

The statement said: "I am directed by the sole member (Mr Justice Fergus Flood) to confirm to you that no written request has been made to your client."

Ms Harney's lawyers earlier sought an injunction to restrain publication of the current issue of Magill Magazine.
