Taoiseach denies running scared from TV debate

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is denying that he is running scared from a head-to-head TV debate with opposition leaders during the early stage of the campaign.

Ahern is also denying suggestions that the media are being kept away from some of his public engagements on the campaign trail.
