Gardai in Dublin have launched a murder investigation after a 56-year-old man was shot dead at his home in the city last night.

Gardai in Dublin have launched a murder investigation after a 56-year-old man was shot dead at his home in the city last night.

Maurice Ward was shot twice in the chest with a shotgun after he had answered his door in the Greenford Avenue area of Clondalkin just after 10.30pm last night.
