Taoiseach rules out SF coalition

A general election campaign row broke out between Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and Sinn Fein tonight after Bertie Ahern ruled out sharing power with the party in a coalition Government.

Mr Ahern said participation in office with Sinn Fein was still some years away as the party completed its full transition into democratic politics.
