Taoiseach: British withholding information on Dublin/Monaghan bombings
The Taoiseach has revealed to the Dail that the head of Inquiry into the Dublin and Monaghan bombing is not satisfied with the level of co-operation from the British Authorities.
Bertie Ahern told the Dail that an official from his Department contacted Tony Blair's office last week to request full disclosure of documents in relation to the 1974 atrocities.
Mr Ahern said Justice Barron needs more information from the British Government.
"My officials have once again been in touch with Mr. Blair's office reiterating that we want as much material that is available.
" We hope that Justice Barron gets more assistance than he has got to date. I think I correctly relayed the message that Justice Barron is not yet satisfied that he has got the enormous amount of material he requires."
