Taoiseach rules out immediate sale of ESB

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has ruled out the sale of the ESB in the immediate future.

The Progressive Democrats put forward the proposal in their election manifesto to sell off the ESB, Bord Gais and commercial ports and use the money to fund infrastructural development.
