Former MEP and IFA leader dies aged 82
TJ Maher, a former MEP and former president of the Irish Farmers Association, has died aged 82.
Mr Maher was a leading campaigner for farmers’ rights in the 1960s and went on to hold the positions of president of the National Farmers Association and subsequently the IFA.
