The Irish Haemophilia Society is believed to have reached agreement with the Government over legislation dealing with compensation for haemophiliacs infected with HIV through contaminated blood products.

Last night, the IHS threatened to withdraw its support for the proposed bill after seeing a copy of the draft legislation.
