Violence has erupted again in the Limestone Road area of north Belfast, with rival factions throwing stones and fireworks at each other across police lines.

Protestants claimed nationalists sparked the clashes when they attacked a mother taking her child to after-school activities.

Police are currently in the area in an effort to keep the rival mobs apart.
