Last-minute talks avoid nurses’ strike

Psychiatric nurses have called off their industrial action at Dublin hospitals today following eleventh-hour talks last night.

Thousands of nurses were set to strike later today at the city's Adelaide and Meath hospitals, which also include the National Children's Hospital in Tallaght, in an ongoing dispute over assault compensation.
