Pay increases needed

The Manufacturing, Science and Finance Union is expected to call for pay rises in the next partnership agreement.

It is expected that they will announce this at their national conference today in Dublin. The MSFU insists that the Partnership since 1987 has served employees and employers well but that there is no scope presently for tax cuts in the system.

The union’s national secretary, John Tierney, maintains pay increases are essential to compensate for the phenomenal rise in productivity.
