INO warn Government on pay increases
The Irish Nurses Organisation is warning that the Government’s health strategy will not be delivered unless substantial pay increases are agreed.
INO president Claire Spillane says the benchmarking body must recommend pay increases for all grades of nurses and midwives, to bring them in line with a range of other health professionals.
Ms Spillane also told the INO Executive Council that nurses and midwives continue to be overworked and staffing levels need to be addressed.
