SIPTU to discuss deteriorating Iarnrod Eireann situation

SIPTU is due to hold a conference in Co Clare today to discuss what it has described as a collapse in industrial relations at Iarnrod Eireann.

Union spokesman Tony Tobin said he will be telling the conference that relations between workers and management in Iarnrod Eireann have seriously deteriorated.

If the situation is not rectified, strike action could cause chaos on the railways again this summer.
