Abuse victim challenges bishops outside meeting
A number of Catholic bishops have been confronted by an abuse victim outside today's extraordinary general meeting at St Patrick's College in Maynooth.
The bishops are discussing what files relating to clerical sexual abuse can be released to victims.
Waterford man Gerard Kelly challenged the Bishop of Meath, Michael Smith, the Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Lazarotto and Dr Willie Walsh, the Bishop of Killaloe.
They all assured him that his concerns are being addressed.
A formal statement from the bishops is expected this afternoon.
