Gardai name victim of road accident

Gardai have released the name of the man who was killed in a car accident in Limerick last night.

Norman Ratchford was a native of Gort in Co Galway in his thirties.

He was out walking at Daly’s Cross near Castleconnell on the main Limerick-Dublin road when the incident occurred.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at Midwestern Regional Hospital last night.

Gardai in Limerick are still asking for anyone with any information about the incident to come forward.
