An 11-year-old girl was tonight critically ill in hospital following a hit-and-run accident involving a motorised scooter in Co Antrim.

An 11-year-old girl was tonight critically ill in hospital following a hit-and-run accident involving a motorised scooter in Co Antrim.

Police said they were hunting a youth aged around 16 who was riding the vehicle when the accident happened.
