SF MP gives birth to boy

Sinn Fein’s first woman MP for 83 years has given birth to her first child, it was announced today.

Michelle Gildernew - who surprised many at last year’s general election when she won the Fermanagh and South Tyrone seat by a mere 54 votes - gave birth to a boy weighing 7lb 14ozs.
