Sinn Féin's McLaughlin sidesteps decommissioning comments

Sinn Féin chairman Mitchel McLaughlin has refused to be drawn on whether a further act of IRA decommissioning was imminent, but said his party would welcome one.

‘‘That would fit into Sinn Féin’s aspirations. We want to see all of the guns taken out of Irish politics and that includes IRA guns,’’ he said.
