The Minister for Public Enterprise has told the Dail that Aer Lingus suffered a large overall loss last year.

Mary O'Rourke said the board of the troubled airline is meeting today to discuss last year's accounts.

She added that the implementation of the survival plan has resulted in a reduction of the projected, substantial losses at operational level. Minister O'Rourke said this year will be another tough one for Aer Lingus.
